Baetulus

The ancient Greeks believed that stones falling from the sky, meteorites, were objects inhabited by the divine. They called them Baetylus, while the Romans called them Baetulus.

One day, such a stone fell upon Alexandria. Greek scholars claimed it was a gift bestowed upon humanity by Prometheus.

How this Baetylus, the source of the Codex, reached Terra remains a mystery, even among the Codex interpreters. There is only one question they truly seek to answer. To whom does this overwhelming knowledge belong?

On one point alone, the interpreters agree. The owner of this great knowledge must have left traces somewhere in the realm of the gods.

The Romans believe that they alone are the chosen people, the only nation destined to guide humanity into the world of the gods through the Codex.
